Open and airy with beautiful mountain views, Tree Top Too is the perfect place for your relaxing trip to the Asheville area. Settled up on Rainbow Ridge in Montreat, this home has plenty of space on the double decks for taking in the views. Enjoy the view of the Seven Sisters range from the hot tub, or take a pleasant walk down to the trails along Flat Creek and around Lake Susan. While it's comfortably furnished with many unique antique pieces, the home is also outfitted with modern comforts like WIFI, cable TV, and central air and heat.

House Layout:
Main Floor- Living room; Dining area; Kitchen; Deck access; Full hall bath (tub/shower combo); Bedroom with Queen.
Second Floor- Bedroom with Queen; Bedroom with Queen; Full hall bath (walk-in shower).
Basement- Open den with TV; Kitchenette; Sleeping nook with two Twin beds; Deck access; Full hall bath; Laundry room.
Driveway- The shared driveway is steep yet paved. Two cars can park by the entry door, and there is a gravel parking pad off Maryland Place for one additional car.

Please Note: Due to owner allergies, this home is NOT pet-friendly. Linens (sheets and towels) are provided for your convenience. During the summer Montreat Conference Season (typically June through August) the home rents weekly, and the linens will be delivered to the home in gray laundry bags. From mid-August through May, the home has a minimum 3-night stay (4-night minimum for the holidays), and the beds will be made for your convenience.

Great place to stay in Montreat with fantastic views of the mountains. Close to Black Mountain for quick trips downtown. Place was clean and cozy!

Tree Top 2 is a rental in excellent shape with fantastic views in a secluded and private setting. Great location in Montreat! It had everything we needed for a home away from home.

Loved everything about the house! The views were great and the location was perfect for walking or a quick drive to the Montreat conference center or to Black Mountain. Would definitely stay at Tree Top Too again!

Tree Top Too was great! The kitchen is better stocked than my kitchen at home, and the deck (with the hot tub) was used as much as possible. There isn't much better than sipping coffee, looking out over that incredible view. The nearby trails - you can just walk to them - and the nearby town of Black Mountain only made our already great stay even better.

The hot tub, views, and nearby trails were great. We had excellent takeout from Foothills Meats (the burger was amazing), so add that to your list when you stay.

The home is perfectly named and has a pretty view nestled in the tree tops. Beds are very comfortable and kitchen has everything you might need to cook your favorite meals I would recommend a 4-wheel drive vehicle. The driveway is challenging - especially when wet!

The house is in a great location, easy to get to places of interest. The size of the house is great - so much space. The upper deck provides beautiful mountain scenery. The kitchen is well equipped. There are lots of games in cabinet under the tv and lots of books located in an upstairs bedroom, and in the downstairs area, which could easily serve as an area separate from the rest of the house, complete with it's own bedroom, living space, bathroom and kitchen.

The location is great, right outside of Black Mountain and in Montreat - close to restaurants, stores, trails for hiking walking. The view from the upper deck is spectacular. The house is large, plenty of space to spread out, quiet, great kitchen fully equipped. The house was also very clean upon our arrival.

The house was perfect for the seven people we had staying in it. There were plenty of rooms/beds to sleep and lots of room to lounge. The kitchen was large and there was tons of patio space to hang out on with great views. The house is nestled up a high driveway, so be careful when dealing with tough weather, but it wasn't hard to find as it was not far off the main road. And the management company provided directions right away. They were very responsive and helpful with giving us tips for the area including hiking, which there are some incredible trails out there. Some are even walkable from the house. Make sure to also check out Montreat just a few minutes away. It's a nice town with a brewery or 2 and some good restaurants. The drive to downtown Asheville wasn't far (about 20 mins or so), but if you are going to Lyft/Uber so you can hit up some of the many breweries, you might want to schedule one in advance or set up transportation another way like a cab company. We we're not able to get one on an early Saturday afternoon. Our stay was excellent. The house is very comfortable in a quite, relaxing area.

Beautiful, well designed house, with a spectacular view! Ornaments and furnishings are attractive but over abundant, somewhat crowding the space. Large Jacuzzi on back deck delightful! Kitchen overequipped with utensils limiting storage space for food.

It was a great place for my family to stay because of the location and accommodations. Rooms were spacious and clean and there was plenty of space for our family to spread out. Also, great porch and the hot tub was a hit with the kids! The driveway is steep, but that's to be expected in Montreat.

This is a great house and we have reserved it already for next year! The shared driveway would be a little tricky, but luckily no one was staying in the house next to us. This was perfect for our group!

Eight ladies from our Sunday school class spent an amazing weekend in this most perfect house. The home is lovely, we had plenty of space and the view was inspiring. We all felt peaceful and happy, laughing a lot. The hot tub was a nice bonus!

You do feel perched in the tree tops while sitting out on the deck looking across to the ridgeline covered in trees. Our Prius managed the steep driveway without difficulty. Important to turn left at top as recommended to back into the home's parking space single file. While there is a house next door, it felt very private due to the layout and trees. We especially loved the kitchen and deck views. We did not use the downstairs at all, so cannot comment. Enjoyed our stay and would return!

Brought college students for the college conference. Great space and nice sleeping arrangements. Tough driveway but once you do it you figure out the best way up... and down.

FAQs

WHERE IS THIS HOUSE LOCATED?

Tree Top Too is located in Montreat. This home is approximately 10 minutes to Black Mountain and 30 minutes to Asheville. Click on the location tab above to locate this house on a map.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you need to cancel your reservation and the property you had reserved re-rents for the time which you had it reserved, you will be refunded all money you had paid minus an $89 cancellation fee. If you cancel and the property does not re-rent for your reserved dates, you will lose all money you have paid to that point. For this reason, we recommend that you purchase trip insurance. Please call 888-228-8008 before making a reservation if you have questions or concerns.

WHAT IS YOUR PET POLICY AND FEE?

Tree Top Too is not “pet friendly.” Please be respectful of those owners who, because of allergies or other personal reasons, have chosen not to allow any pets. If housekeeping notes that a pet was present on a non-pet friendly property during your visit, you will be charged a minimum of $600 to clean carpets, upholstered furniture and complete air purification measures. Bringing a pet to a house that is not pet-friendly without owner consent or permission from Greybeard is grounds for termination of the rental agreement without refund. If you must travel with your pet, please contact us for local boarding recommendations. More info about service animals and the ADA is available here.

WHAT ARE CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT TIMES?

Check-in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. It is important that we adhere to these times, because there is a chance that someone else will be checking out/in before or after you and we need sufficient time to ready the house for the next renter. If you wish to check-in early, there is a $50 early check-in fee that can be added on to your reservation. Early check-in is only available if someone is not checking out on the morning of your arrival. Early check-in is not available during the summer conference season. 

WHERE DO WE CHECK-IN/PICK UP KEYS?

You will pick up keys from our Black Mountain office, located at 204 East State Street. Keys will be available starting at 4:00 pm. If you are arriving after hours, you will receive instructions on how to access the safe on our front porch. There will be an envelope with your name and house name at the top. Your keys and driving directions will be inside the envelope.

WHAT IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY DURING OUR STAY?

If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911 from the phone in your rental home or cell phone.

We hope that your stay in the area will be relaxing and without incident, but should you need to get in touch with Greybeard, we have someone on call 24 hours a day. Just call our office at 828-669-1072 and dial extension 203, which will forward to the cell phone of the person on call. Please do not hesitate to call us if something needs immediate attention, but if your question or concern can wait, we ask that you call the office during normal office hours.

WHEN ARE HOMES WITH GAS LOGS IN OPERATION?

Gas logs are not in operation May through September due to the warmer summer months. 

Absolutely NO fires are permitted outside unless the property is fitted with a fire ring/fire pit. You cannot bring your own portable fire pit. 

IS WIFI SERVICE INCLUDED WITH MY RENTAL RESERVATION? WILL I HAVE CELL PHONE SERVICE AT MY RENTAL?

Wifi is available at Tree Top Too. Please note that Greybeard Rentals does not guarantee internet connectivity or speed. Each individual homeowner contracts directly with an internet service provider, and due to a variety of reasons, Greybeard does not guarantee service. Our Black Mountain and Asheville offices have wifi service available if needed.

Cell phone service is not guaranteed. You may check with your service provider to see if service is available.
