Old Fort is a small, historic town at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina. It’s known as being the “Gateway to the Blue Ridge” and for the many festivals and concerts that take place there throughout the year. The town is full of Native American and railroad history and in the middle of town sits a hand-carved, 14-foot rose granite arrowhead on top of a 15 foot river rock with a concrete base.
You’ll find that our Old Fort cabin rentals are surrounded by lush forests and a diverse wildlife community. In the mountains of Old Fort is Pisgah National Forest with over 67,000 acres including Mackey Mountain, a Black Bear sanctuary. Hemlock forests, cove forests, bogs and fens are all part of the ecosystem here. There are private Old Fort cabin rentals by the Catawba River, Catawba Falls, Cove Creek, Curtis Creek, Newberry Creek, and Mill Creek.
We have a vast selection of Old Fort cabin rentals as remote and secluded as you’d like or close to the heart of civilization, if that’s what you’d prefer. Amenities vary depending on the cabin you choose with some offering a minimalist environment while others have Jacuzzis, hot tubs, large screen TVs and well-appointed kitchens for you to enjoy.
