Located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Amazing Grace is perfectly situated on 5 acres, with Mackey Creek running throughout the property. A screened-in porch, with outdoor dining, provides the perfect spot to listen to the peaceful sounds of water running over the small private waterfall.

We came into the area for a family event and decided to make a mini vacation out of it and rent a place instead of staying in a hotel. So glad we did, the house was perfectly set up for multiple people. The grounds were breathtaking, between the roaring creek and the view of the mountains, it was total relaxation. The bed was extremely comfortable, it's completely stocked with any appliance/pot/pan/etc that you'd need. We've stayed at many many cabins over the years and this one went straight to the top of the list!

We really enjoyed our stay at Amazing Grace. The beds are super comfortable, and the home was very clean. I enjoyed swimming in the creek at the property, and loved the sounds of it. The back yard is larger than I knew, which would be a great place for children to run and play. It was a 5 star experience all the way around.

House was great but the grounds were spectacular. Our only disappointment was that it rained yesterday and we lost that day outside. Want to definitely come back and stay longer. Nature at it's best!

I loved the waterfall on property and sitting out by the fire pit. Because of the slope of the yard, you can’t tell there is any other houses… even in the distance. The house was well equipped and the master bedroom was super comfy. My son loved the window seat in the room with the twin beds.

Not only was the property Amazingly beautiful, it was clean and the layout inside was more than accommodating. This home is secluded and private yet still close to stores and Incredible attractions.The beauty and features of the home itself make it so you don't even want to leave the house! The creek with the waterfall in the backyard is as beautiful as most of the local destinations! This was the first vacation that our severely disabled son has Enjoyed in over 10 years.
The property managers are not just kind and polite, they go above and beyond to make it easy/convenient to check in, get into the home and even leave little starter care products (dish & laundry soap,toilet paper, etc.) so you don't have to run to the store the first night you arrive! We frequent rental homes at minimum twice a year and this was by far the Nicest Home and property that we have been to in the mountains. The pictures just can't convey the soul pleasing sound of waking up to the running water which just starts every day there in a beautiful mood.

The home was immaculate, and had absolutely everything we needed (plus more!). The grounds were beautiful and well kept, and the waterfall/creek was even better than the pictures. All of the communication was clear, and we knew what to expect. We decided to explore Asheville this year for spring break, and I think we honestly enjoyed our time at the house more than the activities we planned in surrounding areas. The property is about 30 minutes outside of Asheville, but we did enjoy two nearby attractions. There's a nearby hiking spot that leads to a beautiful waterfall, and a geyser that we visited. There isn't much in the little town, but we were looking for a quiet place to unwind from the stress of life, so this was perfect.

Everything was wonderful! Greybeard Rentals was great to work with. The house was great - it matched the pictures exactly, and had many extra touches that you can't see in the pictures (night light outlet fixtures, all switches cleanly/clearly labeled, etc.). The creek, waterfall, fire pit, etc were a highlight of our stay - we spent a lot of time down there! We are looking forward to staying at Amazing Grace in the future!

The house was perfect in all aspects. It had everything we needed. The customer service was excellent, they provided all the information I needed before I would need it. Check in and check out was hassle free. The stream which runs through the property is the highlight of our stay. We had the best time here.

We so enjoyed our time at Amazing Grace. The amenities were top rate; with the covered porch and the lovely stream with waterfall; we did not need to seek out any other location. Other than a trip to a nearby grocery store we happily stayed on the property the entire week.

The house was beautiful and sparkling clean. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we could need. We thoroughly enjoyed the creek out back and exploring all the local treasures nearby.

The house was immaculate, even better than expected which was nice. The stream out back with the fire pit was beautiful and we made good use of it! The house was close enough to everything. We had a wonderful time and intend to go back as soon as possible.

We absolutely loved the home, especially the yard and creek with the waterfall and swimming hole. It was extremely clean and well cared for. Everything I could possibly need was included and everything was in \"like new\" condition. I HIGHLY recommend Amazing Grace! You definitely won't be disappointed!

WHERE IS THIS HOUSE LOCATED?

Amazing Grace on Mackey Creek is located in Old Fort. This home is approximately 15 minutes to Marion, 20 minutes to Black Mountain and approximately 35 minutes to Asheville. Click on the location tab above to locate this house on a map.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you need to cancel your reservation and the property you had reserved re-rents for the time which you had it reserved, you will be refunded all money you had paid minus an $89 cancellation fee. If you cancel and the property does not re-rent for your reserved dates, you will lose all money you have paid to that point. For this reason, we recommend that you purchase trip insurance. Please call 888-228-8008 before making a reservation if you have questions or concerns.

WHAT IS YOUR PET POLICY AND FEE?

Amazing Grace is not “pet friendly”. Please be respectful of those owners who, because of allergies or other personal reasons, have chosen not to allow any pets. If housekeeping notes that a pet was present on a non-pet friendly property during your visit, you will be charged a minimum of $600 to clean carpets, upholstered furniture and complete air purification measures. Bringing a pet to a house that is not pet-friendly without owner consent or permission from Greybeard is grounds for termination of the rental agreement without refund. If you must travel with your pet, please contact us for local boarding recommendations. More info about service animals and the ADA is available here.

WHAT ARE CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT TIMES?

Check-in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. It is important that we adhere to these times, because there is a chance that someone else will be checking out/in before or after you and we need sufficient time to ready the house for the next renter. If you wish to check-in early, there is a $50 early check-in fee that can be added on to your reservation. Early check-in is only available if someone is not checking out on the morning of your arrival.

WHERE DO WE CHECK-IN/PICK UP KEYS

Amazing Grace has a keyless entry system. You will receive a unique access code within 3 days of your arrival, allowing you to go straight to the house and check-in starting at 4pm.

WHAT IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY DURING OUR STAY?

If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911 from the phone in your rental home or cell phone.

We hope that your stay in the area will be relaxing and without incident, but should you need to get in touch with Greybeard, we have someone on call 24 hours a day. Just call our office at 828-669-1072 and dial extension 203, which will forward to the cell phone of the person on call. Please do not hesitate to call us if something needs immediate attention, but if your question or concern can wait, we ask that you call the office during normal office hours.

WILL THERE BE FIREWOOD AT THE HOUSE? 

Firewood is not supplied by Greybeard. Some houses will have a small supply of firewood for renter use; however, it is best to purchase your own small bundle of wood or Duraflame pressed logs at the local grocery store.

Cutting branches, limbs or trees on the property is strictly prohibited. You can use limbs found on the ground. Absolutely NO fires are permitted outside unless the property is fitted with a fire ring/fire pit. You cannot bring your own portable fire pit. 

IS WIFI SERVICE INCLUDED WITH MY RENTAL RESERVATION? WILL I HAVE CELL PHONE SERVICE AT MY RENTAL?

Wifi is available at Amazing Grace. Please note that Greybeard Rentals does not guarantee internet connectivity or speed. Each individual homeowner contracts directly with an internet service provider, and due to a variety of reasons, Greybeard does not guarantee service. Our Black Mountain and Asheville offices have wifi service available if needed.

Cell phone service is not guaranteed. You may check with your service provider to see if service is available.
