With spring break approaching, we thought it would be good to talk about some of the best family restaurants to check out from your rental cabin in western North Carolina. Family dining in Asheville doesn’t have to be a formal, awkward affair. A quick survey of our agents and staff produced a varied list of area restaurants that are particularly welcoming to families. It’s a few of the places we take our own families to have a great family dining experience.
In the Asheville area, the top of our list was Tupelo Honey which has two locations and features items such as sweet potato pancakes with peach butter and shrimp and grits. Tupelo Honey presents southern flavor at its best and is one of 16 Certified Members of Asheville’s Green Dining Destinations, a national first.
Black Mountain, home of Greybeard Realty and Rentals, has numerous family dining options. If you only have time for lunch, consider The Veranda Café and Gift Shop, one of our local favorites. For children, beverages can be served in small individual teapots of varying shapes and styles which can add to the ambiance and keep the children engaged in the dining process a bit longer. Other local favorites include Fresh Wood-Fired Pizza, Trailhead Kitchen & Bar, My Father’s Pizza, and Ole’s Gaucamoles.
