This charming upper-level apartment is within walking distance of downtown Black Mountain. Uptown Treehouse provides a peaceful and relaxing getaway. Enjoy the cool breezes on the large covered porch or the open back deck. Take a leisurely soak in the oversized Roman tub. There is also a skylight above the queen bed that's perfect for stargazing. The two-way gas fireplace casts a romantic glow for both the bedroom and sitting room. The downtown shops, restaurants, and beautiful Lake Tomahawk are an easy five-minute walk away!

Please note: Linens, sheets, and towels, are provided for your convenience. To accommodate larger parties, a second separate space (one bedroom and one bath) is located on the ground level, Downtown Treehouse.

We had the pleasure of using Greybeard to help us find a last minute rental after a very bad situation with an Airbnb rental. They found us a place in no time on such short notice and on a holiday. The agent was very helpful and understanding to our situation. The place was small but clean, comfortable and cute. It was also in a great location for what we wanted to see and do. If we needed anything they responded immediately. Highly recommend Greybeard for your rental needs and I know we will use them again for our next trip !!

August Black Mountain Getaway

Uptown Treehouse was a cozy quaint experience. Easy walking distance to downtown Black Mountain village and even though you were in a neighborhood you felt like you were in the woods. The only issues we had were minor. There was no dishwasher which is okay, but there was no dish drying rack either. Also the shower head was too weak. Altogether it was a restful trip and we had a great time.

Montreat/Black Mountain is one of our favorite places on earth. The Treehouses (both up and down) are a big part of that. The only problem we have ever had is that we can't stay long enough. Thanks for all you do.

The Uptown Treehouse was so cozy, and small but not too small. Everything was so close, even downtown Asheville was only a 20min drive. Definitely recommend staying here.

Really enjoyed staying here. Nice amenities and touches. Terrific porch with lots of seating. Close enough to walk downtown and to Lake Tomahawk park.

Everything about my stay was delightful! Besides all of the amenities promised, the Uptown Treehouse offered pleasant little elements like lots of light & peaceful surroundings. My favorite was waking to the birds chirping every day and partial long range views of the sunrise. The windows, sliding doors, and skylight make this place really special, not to mention the wrap around patio. Great location, minutes walk to several local coffee specialties, delicious bakeries, and craft brews!

We loved your rental, it was our first time at an \"Airbnb type\" rental. We would normally stay in a hotel but never again. It was so adorable and so well stocked, we couldn't believe it! The decor and colors were totally me, so I loved that. The location to the shops was within walking distance. Loved the fireplace to warm us up at night. We will definitely stay at the this rental again. It will be our home away from home when in NC.

The tree house is small warm and cozy. The bath tub is wonderful be sure to bring bath salts. The fire places warm the space in no time. The kitchen is great and good for folks who have dietary needs that restaurants can't support. The local health food stores are great. The rental is located within walking distance of a very nice yoga studio. The neighborhood is quiet and is a short distance from hikes in the woods. I'm glad we stayed in Black Mountain and not Asheville as we planned as the cottage is really nestled in a low key town.

The Tree House had everything we needed for a great vacation. Near to shopping and close to downtown Ashville, we were a short distance from everything. Very peaceful and relaxing...hoping to get back there again soon.

We made a quick trip and just needed a small space to spend the night and relax for an evening. The Tree House was perfect. The porch is lovely and wish we could have spent more time there! I took a quick morning run and very convenient to \"run\" by the Dripolator for carry out coffee.

The Tree House is a great little place for one or two people. It was clean and well equipped with quality items in the kitchen and bath. The decor is cute and homey and the very large covered deck up in the trees is lovely. It is a very short walk into town where there are lots of quality shops, restaurants and friendly people. It's an easy walk to Lake Tomahawk with its beautiful views in all directions. Renda at Greybeard was so helpful and professional. I had a great four-night stay and fell in love with Black Mountain.

The property was very clean and nice inside. Everything was setup prior to our arrival. Would recommend leaving children behind or bringing your significant other only. This house has a lovely porch. The house is in a neighborhood with surrounding homes. Overall we had a great time and really enjoyed this great property!

We have stayed at Tree House a couple of times while at Montreat for a Conference. The addition of the big deck makes the place even better. We've already booked for next year. Wish we could come before then.

We enjoyed our stay at the tree house. So cute and perfect for two people. It was clean and the dual living room/bedroom fireplace was awesome. Very close to shops and restaurants and the trail up Black Mountain is about 3 miles from the house.

Conveniently located to town and nice hiking trails. Well suited for a couple. Nice treat of pumpkin bread. Nice decor. 4 pairs of shoes and pretty dusty under the bed indicates the cleaners may need a more thorough cleaning occasionally but clean over all. Thanks for the hospitality!

We had a lovely time at the Treehouse in Black Mountain. It was perfect for a fun getaway for two. We enjoyed exploring Black Mountain, hearing live music at the Pisgah Brewing Co., and relaxing in the quaint and cozy house. Everything was perfect-- the kitchen was well stocked (with a delicious fresh loaf of bread left for us from the local bakery!); the house cute, clean, and comfortable; and the neighborhood charming and safe. The folks at Greybeard were wonderful as well! We look forward to returning to our Treehouse Getaway :)

The terms of the policy are as stated: Bookings canceled at least 30 days before the start of the stay will receive 100% refund. Bookings canceled at least 14 days before the start of the stay will receive 50% refund.

WHEN IS THE SECURITY DEPOSIT REFUNDED?

Security deposits are returned within 30 days of guest departure.

WHAT IS YOUR PET POLICY AND FEE?

Uptown Treehouse is not “pet friendly.” Please be respectful of those owners who, because of allergies or other personal reasons, have chosen not to allow any pets. If housekeeping notes that a pet was present on a non-pet friendly property during your visit, you will be charged a minimum of $600 to clean carpets, upholstered furniture and complete air purification measures. Bringing a pet to a house that is not pet-friendly without owner consent or permission from Greybeard is grounds for termination of the rental agreement without refund. If you must travel with your pet, please contact us for local boarding recommendations. More info about service animals and the ADA is available here.

WHAT ARE CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT TIMES?

Check-in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. It is important that we adhere to these times, because there is a chance that someone else will be checking out/in before or after you and we need sufficient time to ready the house for the next renter. If you wish to check-in early, there is a $50 early check-in fee that can be added on to your reservation. Early check-in is only available if someone is not checking out on the morning of your arrival.

WHERE DO WE CHECK-IN/PICK UP KEYS?

Uptown Treehouse has a keyless entry system. You will receive a unique access code within 3 days of your arrival, allowing you to go straight to the house and check-in starting at 4pm.

WHAT IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY DURING OUR STAY?

If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911 from the phone in your rental home or cell phone.

We hope that your stay in the area will be relaxing and without incident, but should you need to get in touch with Greybeard, we have someone on call 24 hours a day. Just call our office at 828-669-1072 and select option 1, which will forward to the cell phone of the person on call. Please do not hesitate to call us if something needs immediate attention, but if your question or concern can wait, we ask that you call the office during normal office hours.

WHEN ARE HOMES WITH GAS LOGS IN OPERATION?

Gas logs are not in operation May through September due to the warmer summer months. 

IS THERE AN OUTDOOR FIRE PIT? 

This home does not provide an outdoor fire pit. Absolutely NO fires are permitted outside unless the property is fitted with a fire ring/fire pit, and you cannot bring your own portable fire pit. 

IS WIFI SERVICE INCLUDED WITH MY RENTAL RESERVATION? WILL I HAVE CELL PHONE SERVICE AT MY RENTAL?

Wifi is available at Uptown Treehouse. Please note that Greybeard Rentals does not guarantee internet connectivity or speed. Each individual homeowner contracts directly with an internet service provider, and due to a variety of reasons, Greybeard does not guarantee service. Our Black Mountain and Asheville offices have wifi service available if needed.

Cell phone service is not guaranteed. You may check with your service provider to see if service is available
