On Sunday, there will be a St. Patrick's Day Treasure Hunt with themed clues, puzzles, and codes to find and unlock the treasure chest for a grand prize. - Jack of the Wood St. Patrick's Day Celebration- Sunday, March 17 from 10 AM- 12 AM. Jack of the Wood will be open early at 10 AM and have traditional Irish music sessions from noon until 7 PM. At 7, they’ll start charging a $5 cover. STONEHEN will headline from 8-11 PM. Their chef, Earl Moe, will have specials that include corned beef & cabbage for the entree and house-made soda bread with herbed butter. Additionally, they'll have classic Scotch egg, Guinness stew, and fish & chips. Drink specials will include St. Paddy’s crowd-pleasers including Irish coffees, Boilermakers, Half & Halfs, Dublin Drops (formerly known as Car Bombs) & Green Beer!
- Roots and Dore Band Annual St. Patrick’s Day Show- Sunday, March 17 at 8 PM. For the third year in a row, Roots and Dore Band will perform their St. Patrick’s Day Show at Claddagh Restaurant and Irish Pub in downtown Asheville. Come enjoy a great night of music, food, libations, and fun!
- St. Patrick's Day Terrarium & Wood Sign Workshop. Sunday, March 17 at 2-5:00 PM. Ready to clear your mind, connect with nature, and get your hands a bit dirty? During Board & Brush's terrarium workshop, you’ll be working with lush plants, rich soil, and earthy accompaniments to create a one-of-a-kind glass terrarium. Plus, you’ll create a framed wooden sign! They provide all the materials and instruct you step-by-step. Choose from a variety of paint and wood stain colors in the workshop. Pre-registration is required.
- St. Waggy's Day at Burton Street Community Center- Friday, March 15 from 5-7:00 PM. Bring those canines down for some happy tail-wagging at Burton Street Community Center's St. Patrick’s Day Pawty (dogs must be on leash)! Come celebrate with your furry friend, and enjoy the refreshments provided for both canines and humans. You can expect giveaways, music, festive decor, & the chance to win prizes (best dog costume, best dog trick, & treat jar guessing game). This event is free, and registration is encouraged.
- St Patty's Day Standup Comedy Show. Sunday, March 17 at 6:30 PM. Asheville Pizza & Brewing will host Ryan Fox of Slice of Life Comedy for a special St. Patrick's Day comedy show featuring Jason Webb, Cheney Goodson & Sarah Love. Enjoy dinner, drinks, and plenty of laughs. Don't forget to wear green!
- St. Patrick’s Day Drag Brunch for Tzedek Social Justice Fund. Sunday, March 17 from 11:00 AM-2 PM at The Hideaway. Paint the town green at the St. Patrick’s Day Asheville Drag Brunch! Hosted by Ella Events at The Hideaway, come find a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Seatings are at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Indulge in the festive spirit with dazzling performances and delightful brunch by The Sweet Monkey. All proceeds go to the Tzedek Social Justice Fund.
