The annual Cat Fly Film Festival is scheduled to take place May 23-36 at various venues around the city, including Fleetwoods Chapel, the Orange Peel, Grail Moviehouse, the Asheville School of Film, and a surprise venue that will be announced as the event draws closer. Showcasing more than 25 short films and one feature film, the event will also include educational workshops and collaborations by regional filmmakers and performers.
Cat Fly is an Asheville-based, non-profit film festival that highlights and supports up-and-coming indie filmmakers. Since it was established in 2017, it has cultivated an inclusive collective of dedicated, homegrown filmmakers who span across the Southeast.
