Your mountain vacation just got sweeter at Lake Tomahawk Getaway! The main level of this charming cottage offers an open concept kitchen with breakfast bar seating for 2, dining for 4, and a living room with a gas logs fireplace. A laundry room is also located on the main level. On the lower level, the cozy seating and 58" television with streaming provide a comfortable and open bonus space. There is also a full bathroom on this level. Upstairs is the primary bedroom with queen size bed and en suite bathroom, a bedroom with a full-size bed, a full bathroom with hallway access only, and the third room with a private, dedicated workstation with high-speed internet that makes working remotely a breeze.

Outside, you'll find a fire pit area with seating for 4, a gas grill, a covered dining area, and a fenced yard so your pups can roam safely. In the morning, sleep in and enjoy your coffee on the covered front porch before taking a leisurely stroll into The Little Town that Rocks, Black Mountain, a mere 3-minute drive or 15-minute walk away. Known as the Front Porch of Western North Carolina,? you'll spot the iconic red rocking chairs throughout this treasured small town that stand as your reminder to slow down, pull up a chair, and relax. Enjoy cold craft beer & ridiculously great fried chicken at Black Mountain Kitchen + Ale House, or have a late brunch of grit cakes topped with local greens and homemade srirancho sauce paired with a rotating mega-mosa served in a mason jar on the open-air wraparound porch of local favorite, Louise's Kitchen.

On the days you're seeking a bustling & high-energy experience, travel to the eccentric city of Asheville just 22 minutes away. Both Black Mountain and Asheville offer a number of art galleries, upscale boutiques, novelty shops, and award-winning breweries guaranteed to keep you entertained for hours on end. On your way back into town, stop by Lake Tomahawk a block away from the home to catch an epic sunset over the Seven Sisters Mountain Range and glistening lake. Be sure to check out the sign located on the path to see if you can spot all "Seven Sisters." If you visit the park during the day, be sure to pack a picnic to enjoy alongside the water while you watch the ducks bathing, or take time to play a round of tennis and walk the elliptical path that surrounds the lake. Ideal for a group getaway with friends or family, this cozy & contemporary pet-friendly cottage is centrally located in town within a block of Lake Tomahawk, which lends its name, and offers unparalleled comfort and convenience!

Please note: This home is pet-friendly for up to 2 well-behaved dogs with an additional fee. Dogs are preferred to be crated when unattended; sheets and towels are provided to cover beds and furniture; dog-waste bags are provided. The rack of wood to the left of the guest parking does NOT belong to this home. The garage is not accessible to guests. When rented monthly, there is a $150 monthly utility allowance for water, power, and gas. Any overages are to be reimbursed by the tenant.

Four Weeks of Quiet Bliss

This house has everything one needs to enjoy a stay in Black Mountain. Greybeards responded to two outdoor needs - a hose bib was leaking and flooding the eating area out front and the gas grill needed serious cleaning. Those done and I settled into a quiet stay. Minor suggestions: I’m one of few who doesn’t have streaming tv service so couldn’t get the tv to function (maybe printed directions for the few like me); and recycling pick up is alternate weeks but didn’t know that before I filled blue recycling bin (again add that to douse directions re trash pick up (which is curbside on Wednesday morning) Thanks.

Great outdoor space

This house was perfect for us. Great covered outdoor spaces. Loved playing cards and having morning coffee on front porch and grilling out on back porch. Such a special little “secret garden” for our granddaughter to play pretend in! The house had everything we needed with the exception of good kitchen lighting. We borrowed a small counter light from our daughter which made a huge difference.Great towels and sheets we really enjoyed the beauty of the gas fireplace and watching tv with

This is the best equipped home that we have rented from Greybeard. It was spotless and the yard was great for our dogs. It was a very pleasant 18 days. The only thing I could rate lower was the tv. We had trouble navigating the system and had to pay for Hulu even though we stream it at home. Everything else was extra great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
