Soothing views of green and blue are what you'll find when you visit this newly built cabin located in the Catawba Falls Preserve's pristine, gated community just outside Black Mountain. The Lodge reigns over 2 acres and offers a vast panorama of the Appalachian Mountains. The property harmoniously combines traditional with modern, offering a sense of distinguished comfort and unforgettable charm. Relax, refresh, and reconnect with your family and friends at this amazing rental home.

Exceptional views and tranquil surroundings, yet located within minutes of a variety of restaurants, assorted coffee shops, grocery stores, antique shops, gas stations, and much more. Visitors looking to explore Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, The Biltmore Estate, Sliding Rock, or Asheville's unique culture are all within a 25-mile radius of Black Mountain. From the house, you have easy access to hiking trails leading to multiple waterfalls, including Upper Catawba Falls.

House Layout: Main Level with spacious floor plan; soothing sunroom with electric fireplace; chef's kitchen with gas range, dishwasher, and Keurig, kitchen opens up into dining nook and living area with 55" flat screen TV (Direct TV provided) and wood burning fireplace; bedroom with queen and full bathroom (walk-in shower only); Master bedroom with king, electric fireplace and full bathroom (walk-in shower and soaking tub); half bath in hallway. The lower level open floor plan continues with the spacious den and game room areas; the game room features a card table, Pac-Man arcade machine, pool table, and Foosball; the den with a 65" flat screen TV, electric fireplace, and snack bar; half bath; 2nd Master bedroom with 2 queen beds, electric fireplace and en suite bathroom (walk-in shower and soaking tub).
Outdoors- two upper decks with views; BBQ area with outdoor dining and gas grill; hot tub deck, fire pit, and outdoor yard games like horseshoes and lawn darts.

Please Note: While the outdoor BBQ area with a gas grill and dining table can be used by guests, the outdoor kitchen is NOT permitted for guest use. There are two exterior security cameras at the property (one on the front porch and one at the backside of the house). No parking is allowed on roadways, at gate entrances, or in non-paved areas in the Catawba Falls Community. Please keep your vehicle(s) on the driveway, or use the road below the house (Mesa Falls Dr).

Three couples enjoyed the cabin for a birthday celebration and it was the perfect place to stay! Location was great as it was secluded but also not far from attractions and great food. House was exactly as advertised and then some. Extremely clean and very well appointed. It was unseasonably chilly during our visit and there so many cozy blankets to snuggle with a good book. Only complaint is that the beds were a bit on the hard side but most everyone else in the group loved that. There were many extra sleeping pillows to find just the right one which helped. I would highly recommend the property and plan to stay there if traveling to the area again. We didn’t end up using the fire pit but there was an abundance of firewood available. The hot tub was very clean and perfect on the chilly days. We only ever had two at a time but there are seats for six. Specific towels were provided for the hot tub. Greybeard was great to work with as well with excellent communication throughout.

Hidden Vista Lodge was amazing! The house has everything you could possibly want or need to make your stay special. All the extra decor touches were perfect- I kept noticing new things every time I looked around. My husband and I spent 3 days there on our own before our daughter, SIL and 10 month old granddaughter joined us for the rest of the week. The little one loved the bear in the front room- we named him Beartholomew. We hated our son and his family were unable to join us- the 10 and 6 year old grandsons would have had a blast downstairs.

This cabin was wonderful! Better than we even expected. It has 4 bedrooms and 3 full plus 2 half baths. More than advertised. There were so many extras in the cabin which made for a nice vacation, tons of games, lots of kitchen appliances, etc. It was a beautiful area, very quiet and relaxing, amazing landscaping. Truly a pleasant and serene vacation.

We were sincerely happy with this property. It had everything we anticipated and then some. The attention to detail was beyond expectation. We have land in Catawba Falls preserve and one of the reasons we came to visit was to meet with potential builders/architects, etc. and we picked this home because we liked the exterior layout. We ended up loving the interior so much we have taken note of the many specific details they added for comfort and design. This property truly has it all. Thank you for having us.

This is our first time in the North Carolina mountains and it was everything we dreamed it would be and more -- thanks to this wonderful stay! We'd love to bring our family back. The kids loved the game room most and us parents enjoyed the big kitchen to cook and relax in. Highly recommend a hike to Catawba Falls! Thank you for our wonderful stay!

Beautiful Peaceful Modern Cabin

The home is lovely and spacious (bigger than appears in the pics). My family of 4 (2 teenagers) had more than enough space (could comfortably accommodate 2 families). The game room was fantastic on a rainy day ( pool table, arcade, card table, darts, etc.). The home is stocked with everything a family needs; including a robustly appointed kitchen. We even had a surprise delivery of firewood for the fire pit. The kids liked the hot tub (clean and new). Nice balcony views of the mountains and surrounding woods, perfect for your morning coffee; cannot see any other homes in the gated development. Saw a bear, turkeys, rabbits and a hummingbird. 10 min. drive to Black Mountain for groceries; the town is quaint and friendly. Greybeard Rentals was first class. Super clean on arrival. Close to hikes, rafting and Ashville. Only issue with the home is minor - oddly loud wine fridge in the kitchen.

One of the best vacations we had as a family. The house is fantastic. The only complain we could come up with was we saw no bears outside. We looked out several nights and morning but no luck. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Our multi-generational family retreat at Hidden Vista was everything we expected and more! The property was clean, nicely appointed and offered us a chance to check out of the rat race for some peace and quiet. Everything was as advertised and we had no issues checking in, checking out or during our stay. The location suited us well as we made day trips around western NC to entertain our group of 8. Thanks to Greybeard and the Hosts for such an enjoyable getaway!

The house was gorgeous! It was so spacious and the outdoor space was incredible. The views were amazing and we had s'mores in the fire pit almost every night. The kids loved the games available on the basement level.

The house is wonderful. Had a great time exploring the area, hiking the near by trails and going into Asheville. Always looked forward to getting back to Hidden Vista for dinner and relaxing with family.

What a beautiful home with fantastic amenities. We loved the view and had a great time as a family in the game room and out at the fire pit. Grey beard Rentals and the owner were attentive to our questions. This home is a 10!!!

Great house, as advertised!!! We loved using the fireplaces, the game room, preparing food in the kitchen, dining with views of the mountains, and everyone having a great place to sleep. The owner has provided so many personal touch items to make the home truly special. We would love to come back and would highly recommend this home to families looking to have a truly wonderful time together in the mountains.

Everything! The cabin was fantastic, clean, and very well appointed with everything we could need during our stay. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the game room downstairs & the guest room with the bunk beds. Greybeards was very responsive with the few little questions we had about the cabin. We loved staying at Hidden Vista. It was a perfect combination of a cozy mountain cabin feel with a high end hotel experience. Our two young children loved the fully stocked game room!!! Would love to stay again.

Stunning mountain home with beautiful decor and gorgeous views. The home was immaculate with many extra unexpected appointments.
Rental process was very easy and company was very responsive to all questions or concerns. The home was very accessible, while still providing amazing views! We'd love to come back someday!

The house was exactly as described! We were a party of 8 with 6 under the age of 20. The house was spacious and the downstairs recreation and entertainment area kept everyone so busy we never once turned on a TV. The views were spectacular! We loved every minute of our 7 night stay!

The house is absolutely beautiful with gorgeous sunrise views. Love the open floor plan and plenty of space to relax. Visited Hidden Vista with my husband and three teenagers. Enjoyed lots of local hikes, a walk through downtown Asheville and finished each night with dinner at 'home' made in the well appointed kitchen and a movie on the big screen downstairs. Would love to return one day.

Our family wanted a great mountain view, a hot tub for relaxing, fireplace, a fire pit, ample cozy seating for 7 inside and out, WIFI, separate bedrooms for 3 couples and a child, and a good central location to Asheville, Black Mountain and points south. Hidden Vista Lodge exceeded all of our requirements by far! It is extremely well appointed and provisioned, and beautifully designed. Although it looks like a cabin and has a cabin feel, its really an upscale home inside, with all the creature comforts. The owners have provided for every need including a wonderful array of family games in the amazing game room downstairs. We understand the family is eager to delight renters, and that is evident throughout their home. We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin and would highly recommend it to any family.

WHERE IS THIS HOUSE LOCATED?

Hidden Vista Lodge is located in Black Mountain. This home is approximately 20 minutes to downtown Black Mountain, 30 minutes to Chimney Rock and Lake Lure, and 40 minutes to Asheville. Click on the location tab above to locate this house on a map.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?

This property offers a flexible cancellation policy that differs from the standard cancellation policy. The policy for this home is the moderate policy. The terms of the policy are as stated: Bookings canceled at least 30 days before the start of the stay will receive 100% refund. Bookings canceled at least 14 days before the start of the stay will receive 50% refund.

WHEN IS THE SECURITY DEPOSIT REFUNDED?

Security deposits are returned within 30 days of guest departure.

WHAT IS YOUR PET POLICY AND FEE?

Hidden Vista Lodge is not “pet friendly”. Please be respectful of those owners who, because of allergies or other personal reasons, have chosen not to allow any pets. If housekeeping notes that a pet was present on a non-pet friendly property during your visit, you will be charged a minimum of $600 to clean carpets, upholstered furniture and complete air purification measures. Bringing a pet to a house that is not pet-friendly without owner consent or permission from Greybeard is grounds for termination of the rental agreement without refund. If you must travel with your pet, please contact us for local boarding recommendations. More info about service animals and the ADA is available here.

WHAT ARE CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT TIMES?

Check-in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. It is important that we adhere to these times, because there is a chance that someone else will be checking out/in before or after you and we need sufficient time to ready the house for the next renter. If you wish to check-in early, there is a $50 early check-in fee that can be added on to your reservation. Early check-in is only available if someone is not checking out on the morning of your arrival.

WHERE DO WE CHECK-IN/PICK UP KEYS?

Hidden Vista Lodge has a keyless entry system. You will receive a unique access code within 3 days of your arrival, allowing you to go straight to the house and check-in starting at 4pm.

WHAT IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY DURING OUR STAY?

If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911 from the phone in your rental home or cell phone.

We hope that your stay in the area will be relaxing and without incident, but should you need to get in touch with Greybeard, we have someone on call 24 hours a day. Just call our office at 828-669-1072 and dial extension 203, which will forward to the cell phone of the person on call. Please do not hesitate to call us if something needs immediate attention, but if your question or concern can wait, we ask that you call the office during normal office hours.

WILL THERE BE FIREWOOD AT THE HOUSE? WHEN ARE HOMES WITH GAS LOGS IN OPERATION?

Firewood is not supplied by Greybeard. Some houses will have a small supply of firewood for renter use; however, it is best to purchase your own small bundle of wood or Duraflame pressed logs at the local grocery store.

Cutting branches, limbs or trees on the property is strictly prohibited. You can use limbs found on the ground. Absolutely NO fires are permitted outside unless the property is fitted with a fire ring/fire pit. You cannot bring your own portable fire pit. 

Gas logs are not in operation May through September due to the warmer summer months. 

IS WIFI SERVICE INCLUDED WITH MY RENTAL RESERVATION? WILL I HAVE CELL PHONE SERVICE AT MY RENTAL?

Wifi is available at Hidden Vista Lodge. Please note that Greybeard Rentals does not guarantee internet connectivity or speed. Each individual homeowner contracts directly with an internet service provider, and due to a variety of reasons, Greybeard does not guarantee service. Our Black Mountain and Asheville offices have wifi service available if needed.

Cell phone service is not guaranteed. You may check with your service provider to see if service is available.
