HOUSE LAYOUT:
Upper Level: Kitchen; Dining table with seating for up to 8; Large deck; Primary bedroom with a king bed & full en suite bath. Living room (gas fireplace not usable).
Middle Level: Den; Large deck; Bedroom with queen bed; Full hall bath; Bedroom with queen bed. Laundry room with half bath.
Lower Level: Den; Full hall bath.

Please note: This home is pet-friendly with an additional fee. The middle and lower floors can be accessed via the indoor spiral staircase or exterior staircase. Among the amenities offered, there are plasma TVs with DVR, wireless internet, a dishwasher, and central air to enhance your overall comfort. There is an E-bike locked up on the lowest level of the house that is not accessible to guests. For your convenience, SHEETS AND TOWELS ARE PROVIDED. You can easily access the top floor from the parking area that has space for 2-3 cars.

Cozy and Relaxing Stay of Nature

Beautiful Home with excellent views of the woods. Very spacious house with a lot of decking to enjoy your morning coffee and the sounds of nature. Our family of 6 from Texas enjoyed it and will return. Loved the neighborhood and the nearby antique shopping in Black Mountain. Many hiking trails nearby and good restaurants.

Overall

The top floor seating arrangements were not comfortable to watch TV. With that exception, we enjoyed our stay.

Overall

All was excellent except the view which was a "0" since there was no view. The website pic's showed a fabulous southern view toward Black Mountain and the beautiful peaks beyond. But the trees had covered the view entirely--the pictures must have been several years old. The owners and Greybeard were kind in their recompense, but as I told them, if I had known the view was non-existent I would never have booked the place. Thus, check to make sure the view is correct before booking.

We had everything we could possibly need and more while staying at Hanging Round! The layout is perfect for more than 1 couple, which is what we had. Each family had plenty of space to relax. The kitchen had everything we needed, as well. Location was nice- close drive to Asheville!! We will definitely stay again for a longer time!

Very good experience. Property is very well appointed, with excellent appliances and complete kitchen supplies. Beds are comfortable and towels plush. Circular stairways require careful navigation. Labeling/instructions for the various TV remotes would be helpful. Two parking spots worked for us, but parking would be difficult if there were more than two vehicles.

Ashville Area Visit

The accommodations worked perfectly. It was reasonably central to each of the venues we wanted to visit and had excellent views of the mountains. Most importantly, it was a last minute relocation due to utility problems resulting from bad weather. I received the call from Renda Barnes of Greybeard indicating the problems as I was boarding a flight NC. She assured me that by the time we arrived the problem would be resolved. The professionalism and confidence in her voice left me unconcerned. And as promised, our problem went away before we arrived. This might be the most important message I can offer - we could have had serious issues but Renda and the staff at Greybeard made the necessary decisions and placed us in an equal or better location with no muss of fuss on our part. And, Renda offered several ideas to expand our visit that were terrific.

Overall a very good experience at this property. Nice mountain views-although it could be better with some tree trimming, very well furnished, a modern, useable kitchen, good bathrooms and comfortable living areas. A lot of steep stair climbing for those using the lower floors.

We stayed at the Hanging Round cabin for the weekend, three families with 5 kids. The cabin was clean, spacious and well equipped. All five kids slept together in the living room and had a blast. Highly recommended!

We rented this home and really enjoyed our time there. It is beautifully decorated and very clean. It was just a few minutes to Black Mountain and about 25 minutes to Asheville. I would definitely rent this home again. My only suggestion would be to have 3 king beds instead of 1. The queen beds seemed a little small. Other than that everything was perfect!

FAQs

WHERE IS THIS HOUSE LOCATED?

Hanging Round is located in Montreat. This home is approximately 10 minutes to Black Mountain and 30 minutes to Asheville. Click on the location tab above to locate this house on a map.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you need to cancel your reservation and the property you had reserved re-rents for the time which you had it reserved, you will be refunded all money you had paid minus an $89 cancellation fee. If you cancel and the property does not re-rent for your reserved dates, you will lose all money you have paid to that point. For this reason, we recommend that you purchase trip insurance . Please call 888-228-8008 before making a reservation if you have questions or concerns.

WHAT IS YOUR PET POLICY AND FEE?

Hanging Round is specified as "pet friendly" and dogs are allowed. Unfortunately, due to common allergy problems we cannot allow cats. For the privilege of bringing your dog, there is a minimum charge of $100 nonrefundable fee per pet. A maximum of two dogs are allowed unless you have received special permission from the property manager or homeowner. Any damage that may be caused by your pet during your stay will be paid for out of your security deposit or charged to the credit card we have on file. There is a county-wide leash law in place. When taking your dog outside of a gated area, please ensure that they are on a leash.

WHAT ARE CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT TIMES?

Check-in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. It is important that we adhere to these times, because there is a chance that someone else will be checking out/in before or after you and we need sufficient time to ready the house for the next renter. If you wish to check-in early, there is a $50 early check-in fee that can be added on to your reservation. Early check-in is only available if someone is not checking out on the morning of your arrival. Early check-in is not available during the summer conference season.

WHERE DO WE CHECK-IN/PICK UP KEYS?

Hanging Round has a keyless entry system. You will receive a unique access code within 3 days of your arrival, allowing you to go straight to the house and check-in starting at 4pm.

WHAT IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY DURING OUR STAY?

If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911 from the phone in your rental home or cell phone.

We hope that your stay in the area will be relaxing and without incident, but should you need to get in touch with Greybeard, we have someone on call 24 hours a day. Just call our office at 828-669-1072 and dial extension 203, which will forward to the cell phone of the person on call. Please do not hesitate to call us if something needs immediate attention, but if your question or concern can wait, we ask that you call the office during normal office hours.

WILL THERE BE FIREWOOD AT THE HOUSE? WHEN ARE HOMES WITH GAS LOGS IN OPERATION?

Homes with gas logs are not in operation May through September due to the warmer summer months.

Firewood is not supplied by Greybeard. Some houses will have a small supply of firewood for renter use; however, it is best to purchase your own small bundle of wood or Duraflame pressed logs at the local grocery store.

Cutting branches, limbs or trees on the property is strictly prohibited. You can use limbs found on the ground. Absolutely NO fires are permitted outside unless the property is fitted with a fire ring/fire pit. You cannot bring your own portable fire pit.

IS WIFI SERVICE INCLUDED WITH MY RENTAL RESERVATION? WILL I HAVE CELL PHONE SERVICE AT MY RENTAL?

Wifi is available at Hanging Round. Please note that Greybeard Rentals does not guarantee internet connectivity or speed. Each individual homeowner contracts directly with an internet service provider, and due to a variety of reasons, Greybeard does not guarantee service. Our Black Mountain and Asheville offices have wifi service available if needed.

Cell phone service is not guaranteed. You may check with your service provider to see if service is available.
