Premierly located less than 10 miles from the charming small town of Black Mountain, the private gated community of Creston offers peaceful seclusion along with a gorgeous mountain setting. Situated on 1100 acres, Creston is home to several community amenities:
- Triple Falls Sanctuary is the soul of this mountain community. Known as Creston’s secret garden, this 350-acre conservation area boasts forests, streams, and waterfalls. A trail system allows guests to access the conserved area by foot or car. Three waterfalls are near a designated camp area and a rustic shelter named the Moonshine Cabin. Allison Falls is the main waterfall on the Left Prong of the Catawba River with a viewing area overlooking the waterfall.
- The Gazebo at the roundabout is another casual neighborhood gathering spot. Situated at 2400 feet, the timber frame shelter has seating around a stone fire pit and has become the neighborhood hangout after an occasional snowy afternoon of sledding.
- “Pocket Parks” can be found throughout Creston. These thoughtfully-located overlooks are lovely surprises to stumble upon as you walk through the community. Some of these overlooks feature picnic areas while another features a swing overlooking the mountains. All of them allow you to enjoy the tranquil scenery and sounds of nearby waterfalls.
In addition to unparalleled privacy, convenience, and beauty, the Creston Community is also an excellent location for those looking to visit other neighboring towns in addition to the Asheville area.
Take a short 35-40 minute drive to reach the quaint Village of Chimney Rock and Lake Lure where you can spend your days hiking on the various trails within Chimney Rock State Park, swimming and canoeing on Lake Lure’s mountain beach, or strolling atop the quirky Lake Lure Flowering Bridge.
