One of the most natural choices for a winery visit would be the Biltmore Estate which is the home of the Biltmore Estate Winery. Wine tastings are free with your admission into the Estate. You can take a full winery tour to learn more about the winemaking process, or simply sip on these great local wines.
Silver Fork Winery
Jump on I-40 East and head down the road to Silver Fork Winery which offers many Bordeaux style wines, a beautiful tasting room, an open patio and views that overlook Silver Fork's vineyards and the South Mountains.
Silver Fork aims to produce "quality wine that is refined and distinctive" and "harnesses the unique abundant qualities of the Western North Carolina Mountains."
South Creek Winery
This WNC winery boasts award winning wines and an excellent atmosphere with its 100 year old renovated farmhouse.
Burntshirt Vineyards
Named North Carolina's Winery of the Year by the New York International Wine Competition, Burntshirt Vineyards has 27 acres of vineyards located at 3400 feet in elevation and a tasting room and veranda area overlooking the vineyards.
