The inaugural Literary Festival from Punch Bucket Lit is set to take place on Friday, September 20, and Saturday, September 21, 2024. The Asheville-based nonprofit brings all things writing to the local and larger literary community throughout the year including a reading series, podcast, and community programming. Their main mission? To bring people together and foster a community of literary appreciation.
The festival will celebrate writers and poets from all over the country in person during the start of the magical fall season in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Here is what you can expect from the festival:
- 9/20/24- Opening Night Rapid Reading by 18 Featured Writers and Poets on Friday at the Wortham Center for Performing Arts in Downtown Asheville.
- 9/21/24- 40+ Readings Throughout the Day in Downtown Asheville, an All Day Bookfair, and Keynote Reading Event Featuring Award Winning Author, Lauren Groff, at the Wortham Center for Performing Arts in Downtown Asheville on Saturday evening.
