New Year's Eve Performances & Parties:
- Asheville Symphony's New Year’s Eve: She’s Got Soul–Harrah's Cherokee Center 8 PM. Ring in the New Year with soul, symphony, and style. The Asheville Symphony proudly presents a lineup of legendary divas such as Whitney Houston, Gladys Knight, Chaka Khan, Adele, and many others. These powerhouse vocals will be brought to life by none other than the fabulous Capathia Jenkins, joined by a talented trio of backup singers. Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be swept away into 2024 by the soulful sounds of these iconic artists, all backed by your Asheville Symphony.
- The Mischief Revue: A NYE Gala–Ella Asheville, 6 PM. This enchanting event promises an evening steeped in mystique, artistry, and musical brilliance. Merging the spirits of Vaudeville, Burlesque. and Cabaret, get ready to welcome 2024 in a truly grand fashion. Held within the grandeur of Ella Event Space in downtown Asheville, this spectacle welcomes you to a place where every moment is a celebration of creativity. Immerse yourself in the rhythm and melodies of three astounding bands. Be part of the spectacle by wearing costumes reminiscent of a bygone era. Don your most opulent attire that fuses vintage charm with avant-garde expression.
- NYE With the Blue Rags– The Grey Eagle, 9 PM. This all-ages show will feature The Blue Rags—a revivalist, ragtime boogie-woogie band from Asheville. The band’s sound, sometimes described as “punk ragtime,” was an early influence on artists such as The Avett Brothers and Old Crow Medicine Show.
- NYE Party with The Snozberries, Kirby Bright, Funkbox & Luma–Salvage Station, 8 PM. Spend your New Year’s at Salvage Station to enjoy an EXCELLENT night of live music. The Snozzberries will be performing LIVE on the Indoor Stage along with DJ sets by Luma, FunkBox, and KirbyBright! Root Down will be serving their delicious twist on Southern Soul Food, and there will be a midnight countdown complete with champagne!
- NYE with the Space Cowboys & the Cosmic Girls: A Tribute to Jamiroquai–Asheville Music Hall, 9 PM. Formed in 2016 and hailing from Asheville, NC, the Space Cowboys and the Cosmic Girls is the Southeast’s premier tribute to Jamiroquai. The band brings a non-stop boogie-down dance party using the elements that made the music of Jamiroquai the sensation it is; groove, soul, and swagger. With their powerhouse stage presence, the Space Cowboys and the Cosmic Girls have delivered explosive and memorable performances to packed houses at some of the top venues and festival stages on the East Coast!
- Roaring 2020s NYE Dance Party– Asheville Beauty Academy, 9 PM. Step into the Roaring 2020s this New Year's Eve at Asheville Beauty Academy, where the past meets the present in a jubilant celebration of dance and revelry. As the clock inches towards midnight, Glam DJ Ganymede will be spinning the decks, transporting you to an era of unadulterated fun with a modern twist, from 9pm all the way into the early hours of 2024. Dress to impress in your finest glam, and raise a glass to the future, surrounded by the elegance of the past. It's not just a New Year's Eve party; it's a time-travel soiree into the heart of a new era!
- A Golden New Year's Eve–Main Street in Marion, 9 PM. Join the City of Marion for its 14th Annual New Year's Eve Gold Nugget Drop. The night's events kick off at 9:00 PM and will continue through midnight when the city's gold nugget is dropped into a pot of gold. This unique family-friendly tradition pays homage to McDowell County's gold heritage and ensures a rich start to the New Year!
- Midnight Masquerade Rooftop Party–The Observatory Rooftop Bar + Lounge, 9 PM. Celebrate the New Year under the stars at The Observatory Rooftop. Enjoy a night of masked mystique as you count down to a new year on the Observatory Rooftop. Dress to the nines and stay till the clock strikes twelve in a star-lit ballroom complete with a full band, passed hors d'oeuvres, and a champagne toast at midnight. Tickets include admission, light bites, passed apps, and a champagne toast at midnight!
- New Year's Eve Bash–Bear's Smokehouse, 7 PM. Ring in the New Year at Bear's Smokehouse with DJ Audio! Come enjoy award-winning BBQ, craft beer and cocktails, and a complimentary midnight champagne toast!
New Year's Eve Food & Drink Events:
- Hemmingway's Cuba New Year's Eve Celebration–Named one of the top Cuban restaurants in North Carolina, Hemingway's Cuba will have stellar dance music provided by DJ Gant, spinning the top in Latin, old school, hip hop, and top 40 until 1 AM. There will be plenty of party favors, cocktails, and a toast at midnight.
- New Year's Eve International Tapas Class–Asheville Mountain Kitchen, 6-9:00 PM. Pair delicious wine and tapas filled with a variety of different flavors. For example, acid wine (white) will pair well with slightly sweet Taiwanese Pork Belly Buns (Gua Bao), bites of filet mignon with foie gras and onion jelly will pair well with dry red, crispy shrimps, ceviche will pair well with Chardonnay. The menu is subject to change based on the guest’s requirements. Eating, drinking, and socializing is the best way to end the year and start a new one.
- New Year’s Eve Dinner Party –Rumbling Bald Resort on Lake Lure, 6:30 PM-12:00 AM. It’s been a year in the making! Come ring in the New Year with family, friends, and loved ones at Legends on the Lake's New Year’s Eve Dinner Party complete with music, dancing, and a classic champagne toast at midnight on Sunday, December 31. Resolution NYE Happenings:
- Join Namaste in Nature for a Mindfulness Hike at Chimney Rock State Park on Saturday, December 30 from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM. This reflective meditation walk will take you off the beaten path and away from the crowds to de-stress and focus on connecting with yourself and the natural world. After your hike, stop by the Animal Discovery Den to check out some resident wildlife or explore the nearby town of Chimney Rock and Lake Lure.
- Kick off your New Year's resolutions with a 5K or 10K jog in downtown Asheville. The 10th annual New Year's Resolution Run is a fantastic way to say goodbye to 2023 and welcome 2024 with new goals! Families and participants of all ages are welcome to come run or crawl their way to completing their first resolution. Race begins at 10 AM on New Year's Day.
- Come celebrate the New Year at the 4th Annual New Year's Eve Morning Yoga Flow at One World Brewing on Sunday, December 31 from 10:30-12:00 PM. This class includes an extra 30 minutes of chakra balancing, while you lie back or sit in meditation.
