General Asheville Event

Asheville Parks & Recreation is brewing up a big batch of fun this Halloween season! From October 11-31, 2024 there will be numerous community events to enjoy: 

  • Pumpkin Palooza- 10/11/24 (2:30-3 PM) at Tempie Montford Community Center will have autumn-themed activities and pumpkin decorating for toddlers
  • Carve and Create- 10/15/24 (5:30-6:30 PM) at Tempie Montford Community Center. Adults will show off their pumpkin painting and carving skills. 
  • Kooky Spooky Toddler Day- 10/18/24 (10 AM-12 PM) at Stephens Lee Community Center. The gym will turn into an orange and black Halloween village with inflatables, toys, and arts & crafts. Don't forget to dress in costume!
  • Halloween Creepy Climbing- 10/18/24 (6-7:30 PM) at Tempie Avery Montford Community Center. Show off your costume, climb for candy, and play games. Please note that advance registration is required. 
  • Canine Trick or Treat- 10/19/24 (12:30-2 PM) at Burton Street Community Center. Dress up your pups for a scavenger hunt and giveaways. Please note that leashes are required and advance registration is encouraged. 
  • Haunted Castle on the Hill- 10/25-10/26 (7-9:30 PM) at Stephens Lee Community Center. Recommended for ages 10+, this haunted house will be filled with ghouls, ghosts, and frights. 
  • Pumpkin Picasso- 10/22/24 (5:30-7:30 PM) at Carrier Park Picnic Shelter. This carving party will get your creativity flowing. Oh, and did we mention there are exciting prizes? Please note that tools are provided and advance registration is required. 
  • Murder Mystery Party- 10/29/24 (4-6 PM) at Harvest House Community Center. Meet an interesting cast of characters and solve the mystery. Please note that it is not a performance and active participation is required along with advance registration. 
  • Movies in the Park: Halloween Edition- 10/30/24 (6-9 PM) at Pack Square Park. This spooky twist on the long-running summer movies in the park encourages you to dress in costume and enjoy a frightening flick. Please note that the movie will be announced in September and may not be suitable for all ages. 
  • Halloween Bingo- 10/31/24 (6-8 PM) at Burton Street Community Center. Good old-fashioned fun, prizes, and refreshments await at this spooky bingo night. Please note that advance registration is required.
